Week 4, meeting reflection

As I was away for a few lessons due to exams, one of my classmates Raees (floor manager) helped me by doing the props list.

This week I have planned to finish the script and cues and re plan out the set design. I have started doing so already.

As we have done a rehearsed live day, I feel I am working to a near professional standard.

Props List

The floor manager (Raees) had to create a props list within my absence of the lessons, it describes what we will need, where we will get them from and who is responsible for each prop.

Prduction Meeting Two

I was not in the lesson for the second production meeting, however, I have watched the video of what the others have done and I have outlines what I have to do and who I will be working with. Sam, as the director, informed us where we well be working and what we will be working on.

My Jobs;-
;-  I will have to create a moodboard, for the lighting, and this is where I have to set up the lights, with and w/out colour gels, and upload images of these to show how the set will look w/different colours.
;-   I was told that, like many other people, I would have to produce a risk assemsment form, howing all the risks of the lighting and set, how high a risk they were, and how we would overcome them.
;-   I was told that I have the budget, as set designer, and with this, I would choose props. An idea someone had was to get mugs made with the 'Trapstar' logo on it, and this would be a good marketing idea, so I would look into that.

This Week;-
;-   One of my jobs this week, would be to create the risk assesment, I have started this as well as creating a birds eye view of the set design w/locations.
;-   I would need to work w/the director, the floor manager, and the presenters to work out what is going where, what I will need for the props and talk to the graphics prducer to work out colours, which is where I have started to work with Sam (director) to wok out what is going to be in the show, for example, rate and slate wall, so I have already started to work out where thjat would go.

Next Week;-
;-   My Plans for next week will be to create the mood board for the lighting used on th live day, and I will take images of both with and w/out the gel pads, with and w/out the prresenters.
;-   I will also finish and upload the set designs plans.

Set design

One of my jobs is set designer, and I have planned out three main sets;

These three locations bring variety and difference to the set. Its not boring staring at one, but its not too over the top having 50 different sets.

The first set is the main studio, where the two presenters will sit on two directors chairs and the three guests will sit on a sofa, where they will also have boards to answer questions from the quiz.

The second location is in the corridor, I feel this would be good for introducing things, like the beggining of the show and competitions and etc... Its a simple but effective location. I have changed it abit so the cameras can move to this position where all they will have to do is zoom in and out of the presenters.

The third location is also in the main stiudio, but closer to the iMacs, where there will be a rate and slate wall, this will be to the left of the guests chair, this is to make it easy for the cameras to film and for the guests and presenters to get to.

Risk assesment

For the live day, we chose Shriyas idea for the main idea. I was chosen to be the set designer and lighting. For the first part of my job I had to create a risk assesment for the lights.
