We will be making a live magazine show, where we will be showing some of the music videos we made. The show will be put out on E4 and must meet the target audience and theme of music videos. The following information is what I have planned the magazine show to look like.
The Title Of The Show!!
The title I have chosen is Tunes On Toast and this is because i would air it in the morning, like Breakfast. It also has an illiteration so it is catchy.
The Studio Design;
The following images are the three difefrent locations I would luse for the magazine show, and a little explanation of why I have chose them.
The Background Ideas;
For content ideas, we will need to choose at least three pre-recorded or audience involved parts of the show which will make the magazine show more interesting, I have chose these three;
- A Competition - I have chose a competition as it is usualy seen on most life game/magazine shows. as the theme of the show is music, I would make the prize an iPod with £200 iTunes voucher, as they are both items related to music.
- A Pre-Recorded Countdown - I have chosen this for the second one as it would be a countdown for the top 5 music videos, which links to our theme of music videos, as wellas we would use some of our videos in the line up.
- Phone Calls - I chose to have phone calls in, as it gets the audience involved and it would be a good chance for people to ask the artist questions about their videos.
Presentation Style;
- For the presentation style, I would have a mixed colour scheme, of the colours black, white and red because these are the neutral yet mostly worn colours of people our age.
- For the presenters costume, I would have them wearing smart casual wear, of the colours red, white and/or black. This will keep to the colour scheme and make them look as formal as possible with out wearing suits and ties, but not looking too casual in tracksuits or jeans. I would also like the presenters to talk unformal, not using slag over the top, but not talking in the best english ever, this is mainly because it is aimed at teenagers, and teens talk in slang/unformal language.
- I was thinking of people like Amrit and Morgan for the presenters as they are both confident with talking out loud and they have the right tones and volume for presenting a show, and they are both very good at communicating with a range of different people.
Visual Style;
For this I would have five cameras, three of which stay in the main stage infron of the green screen, these would show a two shot of the presenter and guest, one on guest and one on presenter. I would have one camera for the news desk, which would be a close up, and use the last camera for other shots, which would also be the portable camera when in the corridor location.

These cameras would show alot of mid shots, showing not only facial expressions but hand gesturs, which are very important as they show how they react and gestures are a clear way to understand what people are talking about.
Running Order;
This is my running order, baring in mind that the live stuff must be at least 15 minutes long. The whole show in total must be 30.
- Opening sequence. (1 minute)
- An introduction to what is goin onin todays show, and an introduction to the competition. (1 minutes)
- Competition, going to anounce winner at end of show. (3 minutes)
- First music video. (3 minutes)
- Interview with the first artist. (5 minutes)
- Interview with second and third artist. (7 minutes)
